When the Countryside Agency launched its Parish Plan Scheme under the Vital Villages programme, Bardwell Parish Council decided to take part in the scheme and organise a Village Appraisal. One of the outcomes was the establishment in 2002 of a walking group. The r@mblers is a small, informal group of residents from Bardwell village who take turns in leading their fellow villagers on walks averaging four to five miles in length. There is a walk organised for the first Sunday of every month except in December when the date varies. Turn out varies between five and seventeen people of mixed ages. If you would like to join us for any of the following walks you would be most welcome. StrollingA group meets every month on a Wednesday afternoon for a gentle stroll around the village and those nearby. We avoid the rough stuff, stiles etc. and it is good exercise for all ages as well as being a chance for a friendly chat. The strolling dates for the rest of the year are given below. Why not join us for an hour or so....? Bardwell Ramblers 2007 |
