Report from Bardwell Charity Trustees

The Trustees met on the 16th March 2009.

They received reports on the progress of the monthly lunches and teas in the Tithe Barn, which they support in conjunction with the Church, the Christmas Lunch and the remedial works to the main black poplar on The Green.  This had to be severely trimmed back for safety reasons.
The noted that the Fair was to be in Bardwell from the 4th to the 11th May and agreed that Keith Cook should be asked to cut The Green in 2009.   They considered the problems of the overfilling of one of the ponds and asked one of their number to make further investigations. They heard a report of a ‘bounty hunter’ using a metal detector on The Green and agreed that consent had not been given, nor would be, for such activities.

They received a report from the Clerk on the Trust’s accounts and approved his honorarium.  They approved actions taken by the Chairman since the last meeting and agreed to meet next on the 12th October 2009.Peter Mitchell (Chairman)
