Bardwell School Association (P.T.A)

Thank you to everyone who attended the A.G.M. last week.  Our thanks to Sara Trowell, Sandra Wallace, Lisa Sarson and Elizabeth Devoy who have decided to step down from their roles on the committee.  Their hard work over a number of years has been greatly appreciated.

We welcome as newly elected Chair and Vice Chair of Bardwell School Association, Rachel Joy and Laura Mitchell respectively.  I am sure you will join with me in wishing them every success.  Thank you to all other committee members for their hard work in support of the school.

Please find attached a list of all the new resources Bardwell School Association, P.T.A., have funded in the last year.  I am sure you will agree that for a small school this is most impressive.

School Governors

Many thanks to Mrs. Bailey for her hard work as a teacher governor for the last three years.  We welcome Mrs. Boult into her new role as Teacher Governor.

School Website Learning Platform

All schools in Suffolk Local Authority are now part of a Learning Platform, our school, like others in the area, is working with Uniservity, and is in the process of setting up a learning platform which is similar to a school website.

If you would like to take a look please visit www.School-portal.co.uk and then click on Bardwell School.

The content of the site is fairly limited at the moment but please feel free to support your child in the use of this learning platform at home.  As the learning platform grows we  hope it will provide an interesting insight into the life of our school.

Friday 26th September        -   Achievement Assembly 9.10am.

Monday 29th September     -   Harvest Service – Bardwell School 1.30pm.  Part time 
                                                YR pupils are invited to attend all day.

Thursday 2nd October         -   Meeting for parents and pupils in Y3/Y4 re: residential
                                                trip – 6.30pm.

Wednesday 8th October      -   Y4 pupils to visit Ixworth Middle for writing morning
                                                with Y6   9.30 – 12.00am.

Friday 17th October            -   Y1 and Y2 pupils, to participate in Multi-Skills Festival 
                                                at Thurston Community College.  9.30 – 11.30am.

Thursday 23rd October       -   Achievement Assembly 9.10am.

Friday 24th October            -   Staff Training Day - NO SCHOOL FOR PUPILS

Sunday 26th October           -  All Age Service at Bardwell Church for Bible Sunday.
                                                11.00am Families invited to attend.

27th to 31st October            -   HALF TERM

Monday 10th November     -   Individual Parent Consultations 3.15 – 5.30pm.

Tuesday 11th November     -   Individual Parent Consultations 6.00 – 8.00pm.

Thursday 20th November   -   Bardwell School Association Children’s Fashion Show.
                                                3.00pm onwards School Hall.

Friday 28th November        -   Achievement Assembly 9.10am.

Monday 8th December        -   Christmas Performance 1.30pm school hall (all pupils).

Tuesday 9th December       -   Christmas Performance 6.00pm school hall (all pupils).

Thursday 11th December    -   Christmas Dinner.

Friday 12th December         -   Achievement Assembly 9.10am.

Monday 15th December      -   1.00pm Christmas parties (all pupils).

Wednesday 17th December -  Carol Service at Bardwell Church. 6.00pm.

Friday 19th December         -  2.00pm Carols around the tree.  School Hall.
-  6.00 – 8.00pm Family Christmas Disco at Tithe Barn organized by Bardwell School Association.-
